LeFiell Announces NMA Scholarship Recipient
Texas A&M Senior Awarded

RENO, Nev. April 22, 2008—LeFiell Company announced today that Texas A&M senior Laura May of Hurricane Mills, Tenn. was awarded the Edie Schmidt scholarship by the National Meat Association (NMA) Scholarship Foundation.  The scholarship is named to honor the late mother of LeFiell president Baldwin S. Schmidt.

Mrs. Schmidt’s husband William owned the Cincinnati Butcher Supply company and were very involved in NMA and other meat processing educational and social activities. Over the years, Ms. Schmidt was an ambassador for the NMA and the meat processing industry.

The Edie Schmidt Scholarship presented $2,000.00 to Ms. May to continue her studies in animal, meat and food studies at the College Station, Texas university, inline with her career goals.
