RENO, Nev. November 7, 2007 — Reno, Nev., manufacturer LeFiell Company was
featured during a recent episode of CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which takes
place in Las Vegas.
During the episode which aired November first entitled “The Chick Chop Flick Shop,”
the storyline featured a horror movie production company that has a murder on the set.
As part of the set decoration for the fictitious movie, there were “corpses” hanging from
LeFiell meat hooks. LeFiell produces slaughterhouse and meat processing equipment.
The CBS show airs on Thursdays and stars William Petersen and Marge Helgenberger.
According to LeFiell project manager Dean Johnson, the production team ordered the
hooks several months prior. “It was exciting to see our products on the show. It was a
interesting episode of CSI, an entertaining spoof of horror movies,” said Johnson.
According to Johnson, LeFiell’s products have been featured in other movies and TV
shows, and may be in the upcoming Batman movie depending on editing. Falling under
the disguise of “Rory’s Last Kiss,” Batman set designers purchased an overhead rail
system for use in one of the scenes.
LeFiell Company is a precision engineering, fabricating and manufacturing company
based near the Reno-Stead Airport. In addition to being a world-leader of
slaughterhouse and meat processing equipment, LeFiell’s overhead rail conveyor
systems are also used in the industrial laundry, manufacturing and industrial painting
trades.
