LeFiell Delivers 40,000 lb Concrete Recycling System
RENO, Nev. August 13, 2007 — LeFiell Company announced today that it shipped one of
its largest sub-contracting projects in size and weight, a 40,000 pound concrete
recycling device for use by a concrete plant in California.
The ENVIRO-MATIC System EM-40 is the creation of Weigh-Tech Inc. of Pacifica, Calif.
It is a 100% concrete recycling system for ready-mix concrete plants. The system
recycles the components of un-used concrete returning those components back into the
concrete manufacturing process.
According to Joe Gonzales, vice president of operations at LeFiell, “This was an
outstanding project for us to have in the shop and definitely highlights our capabilities.”
The ENVIRO-MATIC System’s main piece measures approximately 11 feet high, 34 feet
long, and 8 feet wide. Construction is of welded steel components to withstand the
weight and duress of the concrete. Because of the unit’s size, it took three forklifts to
remove it from LeFiell’s facility and load it onto the truck for delivery.
LeFiell Company is a precision engineering, fabricating and manufacturing company
based in Reno, Nev. near the Reno-Stead Airport. The company is a world-leading
provider of meat processing equipment ranging from slaughterhouse equipment to
overhead rail systems. LeFiell’s overhead rail systems are also used in the laundry,
manufacturing and industrial painting trades.
